Winston
I recently adopted a stray little kitten, named Winston. Will’s not thrilled. My host mom’s not thrilled. My host-brother is indifferent. But my host-dad and I both like cats, so we’ll just leave it at that. She’s not the prettiest lookin’ kitten out there. The scrawny little thing came walking round the corner looking very hungry and weak, missing most of her tail about a week ago. Calico she is, with multi colored paw-skin, and a multi-color belly. She’s got a very weak ‘meeow’….all in all I think she’s so ugly she’s cute. I took her under my wing and have been caring for her ever since. She eats ugly bugs and lizards, I think she’s great! I’m gonna miss the little creature – as we’ve only got 3 weeks left at site. But at least I’ve got her up to a reasonable weight and she’s been doing a lot of training, climbing up and down trees in an effort to protect herself from the family dog, named Dang. Dang has taken a few goes at her – but she has managed to escape to higher elevations just in the nick of time. I suppose I ought to have her doing more sprints or something though…as her escape run to the shed (where she stays up high) could be a little faster in my opinion. This is where Will inserts, ehh….”I think it’s time you to have a baby. You’re spending an appalling amount of time with that cat.” Hrmm. Maybe so. (FYI: Parents & Parents In-law….we’re waiting til stateside for that adventure to begin, so don’t get your hopes up just yet.)
