It has been almost a year since we sent in our application for the opportunity of an adventure and experience of a lifetime. We found the answer in our mail box this last Thursday, May 15th 2008.
We were informed that we are officially invited to serve as Peace Corps volunteers in the country of Cambodia. Staging is July 20th, and departure for the country is July 23rd, 2008.
It is real and here right in front of us.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel when we got the true hard copy invite in the mail. You never really can truly predict how you're going to feel until the moment happens.
I can assure you that when I read the letter my heart was pounding, but then filled with excitement, and I'm pretty positive I can say it was the same for Will.
We'll see how much Will posts on this thing as many of you know how he feels about some of modern technology. (Who would've thunk that the first time he will have ever had to own a cell phone was when it was required by the Peace Corps?)
Anyhow ~ let this blog be a small, but simple attempt to record our thoughts, feelings and experiences on this thing we call the world wide web; so we can share them so easily with our family and friends when we leave Montanaland for Cambodialand.
