Hand Stand

So the other night Will was playing a game similar to charades with the neighbor kids we teach on the week nights. And at one point during the game one of them was to ‘stand on their hands’. The four of the kids looked at each other with somewhat puzzled looks, and then Napet whispered something in Khmer to the other kids and they kind of giggled. Then after a few moments of discussion, Napet went to the middle of the drive way, then stood there for a few minutes and thought,………. and finally he bent down, puts his hands literally underneath his feet and ‘stood’ on his hands.

It was pretty cute, and pretty good I must say - for directly interpreting a direct translation. Afterward they all (including Will) had a hand-stand contest (this time on their hands with their feet in the air) and Napet, being the athletic little guy that he is, of course won.
